Dear Parents and Guardians,

At Armstrong, we understand the importance of helping our students learn to become more independent as they ready themselves for more rigorous academic requirements and additional responsibilities for high school. One of these responsibilities is to manage due dates of homework assignments, quizzes, tests, and projects; however, how can we assist our students with this requirement without removing the overall responsibility?

To begin answering this question, Armstrong now offers the Homework Tracker http://naahomeworktracker.wikispaces.com/ which enables your child to confirm his/her nightly homework from my class for any given week; all in one location. For your convenience the Homework Tracker link is located in the lower left-hand column of the Home Page of Armstrong’s webpage http://www.btsd.us/subsite/nam. Please see below to view a screen shot of the location.

The Homework Tracker is not just for our students. As parents/guardians you will find several helpful features listed on the
Home Page. For example, there are links to Armstrong’s Staff Email Directory and to iCampus http://www.btsd.us/subsite/nam/page/parent-portal-388 which will enable you to monitor your child’s grades.

Please encourage your child to use the Homework Tracker to confirm his/her nightly homework; however, the Homework Tracker does not replace your child’s responsibility of writing down the nightly homework. If you have any questions about your child’s homework, please call or email his/her teacher. Please call me with all questions about the Homework Tracker at 215-945-2570 or kjones1@btsd.us. Thank you.

Sincerely,
